  1. We love ypu, Papa George, and we will miss you. Rest peacefully with our Lord and Savior.

  2. My Papa George was a farmer, boxer, roller skater, teacher, mentor, hero, and so much more. To me, he was my everything! I still count down the days until I got to be back in the most magical place on earth and see my Papa George. I already miss him and his stories, even if I heard them all a million times!

  3. I have known George since he lived in Northbrook, IL back in the 1970’s. He was married to my sister, Marion. We had some great celebrations together with friends and family. He will be missed terribly. Evelyn, I’m so sorry I couldn’t be there for the services. You are such a special person for all you have done for George and his family. Please know that you are always in my thoughts and prayers. Miss you. Annie

  4. I have known Papa George all of my life. I came to know him as my father late in life, yet he was no less a part of many important events. He knew and made an effort to always be there. One time in particular was when he and Dean drove all night from Northbrook to be in Nashville for my first marriage. Both he and Eve have always been welcoming to me and my family. Though I wish I had more time with him, I am thankful for the time I had.
