Wilma Lois Woodward Dobbs passed away peacefully August 18, 2025, at the age of 87. She is survived by her children, Mark Clifford Dobbs and Amy Dobbs Walker, of Nashville, TN, grandchildren Eric (Leah) Dobbs, Ashley (Allen) Vantrease, Phillip Walker, Margret Dobbs, and three great-grandchildren, Laurel, Deacon, and Felicity.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Robert Woodward, Sr. and Alma Lois Key Woodward, brothers James Wilson Woodward, Curtis Robert Woodward, Jr., son, Joseph Tyron Dobbs and her husband of 68 years, Clifford Melvin Dobbs, Jr.

Wilma was born on September 18,1937 in South Tunnel, TN.  She graduated from Gallatin High School in 1955 and married her high school sweetheart, Clifford, on October 21, 1955.  They were married 68 years and had 3 children. Wilma will be forever remembered as a great cook, homemaker and the dutiful wife of a preacher.  She worked with Clifford at the Corinth Church of Christ, the Watauga Street Church (Northeast Church of Christ) in Kingsport, TN, West Nashville Heights, Old Charlotte Road Church in Pegram, Charlotte Heights Church in Nashville and dozens of gospel meetings nationwide and touched the lives of countless hundreds of people over the years.  She was a member at Bellevue Church of Christ after retirement.

Wilma was passionate about family and friends, but her greatest joy was bragging about her grandchildren.

Visitation with the Dobbs family will be on Saturday, August 23rd, from 2-4 pm with the service at 4 pm, at Bellevue Church of Christ.  A private family interment will take place at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens on Monday, August 25th.
