U were very dear to me and a wonderful friends . Thk u for the love and friendship and honor of cleaning ur house that lead to me being ur caregiver. . We had our ups and downs but u were best ever patient and friend and the opportunity to get to know u and ur daughrer and son n law Pam and Joey . I will be lost without u . And no no one to care for . But most of all I have great memories of u and all ur stories bout ur life as Harvey LaMaide . Things u done and worked on and ppl u meet stories told me bout ur family and ur kids . The shows. We watched sports that I never liked until I meet u . Times we went for a cruise and to eat with my sister and just the talks had and most of all ur love rip . Ur home and now u don’t have trouble breathing . U got ur wings this morning the wind chimes chimed when I walked out ur door . Then they stopped . I love u dearly i will miss u terribly . Ur were very special to me I will always be very grateful god bless .

Harvey Michael LaMaide – Age 87, a resident of Camden, Tennessee, passed from this life in early morning hours of Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.
He was born in Hermansville, MI to the late Edward and Lucille (Plunger) LaMaide on July 28, 1938.
Harvey is survived by his daughter, Pamela (Joey) Fuqua of Fairview, TN. Grandchildren, Alisha (Milton) Erickson of Franklin, TN, Brittany (Matt) Wilder or Franklin, TN, Kayla (Aaron) Branham of Albany, KY, Jacob Boils of Bowling Green, KY, Matthew (Cheyenne) Beal of Foley, AL. Great grandchildren, Addison Erickson, Caroline Wilder, Rhett Wilder, Jazlynn Beal, Mason Beal and Micah Beal. He is also survived by his Loving and Dear friend Wanda Rainey.
He is further survived by sisters Cecelia Brown of Parkersburg, WV, Roslie (Don) Crawford of Bark River, MI, Anne (John) Torreano of Escanaba, MI, Mary Kay (Randy) Carlson of Gladstone, MI, brother Pat LaMaide of Hermansville, MI. and many nieces and nephews.
Harvey is preceded in death by his son Harvey Michael LaMaide, Jr and his daughter Vicky Boils. His sister Luetta Krajewski and brothers Lucien LaMaide, Donald LaMaide, Karl Lamaide and Larry Lamaide.
Growing up he worked in the log woods (logging) and drove both log trucks and over the road trucking, which created an ability for him to work on just about anything. Because of this he was given the CB handle of the ”Mechanical Man”. This lead to his career as a truck and automobile mechanic. His specialty was transmissions of any kind. In the late sixties he moved his family to Tennessee to work as a transmission rebuilder for Mr. Transmission. In the mid-seventies he advanced with the company as an instructor and technical guy to start up and close shops. In the late seventies he retired from Mr. Transmission and purchased a Mr. Transmission franchise which manifested into a business that was worthy the attention of business buyers. He evidently sold the franchise, and this allowed him more time to enjoy his passion growing up in northern Michigan hunting both black bear and deer. He also loved to fish for trout in creeks and streams.
Later in his retirement he gained an interest in wood working which he taught himself to do. He progressed to high end machine work and made many items like furniture, trunks and swings. However, his favorite thing to make was high-end jewelry boxes and if you were lucky, you were gifted one. He enjoyed wood working until health made him slow down and stop around 2018. He then puttered around his home in Camden TN watching sports, planting a few flowers and just enjoying life until the Lord called him home.
