Carolyn Ann Johnson, born Carolyn Ann Hollinshed, passed away peacefully in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 18, 2024, at 78. Carolyn was born on October 1, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Charles Hollinshed and Evelyn Sykes Hollinshed. She demonstrated resilience, warmth, and a deep love for her family and friends throughout her life.

Carolyn was a devoted mother to her son, Sterling Christopher, who predeceased her in 1994. She was also a beloved sister to her four siblings, Carl, Dwight, Linda, and Herschel, who have all since passed. Despite the heartache of these losses, Carolyn remained a steadfast source of strength and compassion for those around her.

She shared a special bond with her niece, Tracy, with whom she spent the final weeks of her life surrounded by love and laughter. During this time, Carolyn created treasured memories with Tracy, her nephew-in-law, Gilman, and her great-niece, Haviland. Their home in Nashville became a sanctuary where she felt supported and cherished.

Carolyn was known as a caring friend, co-worker, and confidant. Her generosity and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone she met, and she will be remembered for her kindness and grace. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Her family takes comfort in knowing that Carolyn is reunited with her son, siblings, parents, and her treasured pet dog, Duchess. They invite all who knew and loved her to celebrate her life and remember her as she was: a compassionate soul with an unwavering love for those close to her.
