Christine Wilson Hennessee
August 19, 1952 – July 1, 2025
Christine Wilson Hennessee, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 1, 2025.
Born in 1952, Christine was the third of four siblings and was known from an early age for her joyful spirit and loving heart. Even after losing her father at seven years old, she remained a steady source of love and support for her mother and siblings.
At age 15, Christine met the love of her life, Tony Wilson. Together, they built a beautiful life, sharing 31 years of marriage and raising their daughter and son with unwavering devotion. Being a mother was Christine’s greatest joy. She poured her heart into her family, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Christine’s deep love for her family carried her through every season of life. After the heartbreaking loss of her first husband, she later found happiness again with her second husband, John Hennessee. Together, they built a life of love and care, especially during the challenging years of caring for her son, Brandon Wilson, after his accident. Through every joy and heartache, Christine remained steadfast, always placing her faith and family at the center of her life.
Her greatest joy of all was being “Nae Nae.” Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she never missed a chance to celebrate them. She attended every birthday, ball game, and school performance, and she was truly happiest when surrounded by her family.
Christine also extended her love and kindness beyond her family, serving as a substitute teacher at Harpeth Valley Elementary School for more than 20 years. Known for her gentle nature, warm smile, and gift for making everyone feel special, she left a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues. It was not uncommon for her to be stopped in public by students eager to hug “Ms. Hennessee.”
Christine’s life was a beautiful example of love, faith, and selflessness. Her compassion and kindness never wavered, and she will always be remembered as a woman who made others feel seen, valued, and loved.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Tony Wilson; her second husband, John Hennessee; her son, Brandon Wilson; her son-in-law, Jim Young; her mother, Edith Kelton; and her brother, Henry Kelton.
Christine leaves behind her daughter, Michele Young; her grandsons, Jacob (Ren) Young, Andrew Young, and Jackson Wilson; her siblings, Lois Painter and Lester Kelton; as well as countless friends whose lives were forever touched by her loving spirit and gentle heart. Her legacy of love lives on in all who knew her, and we take comfort in knowing she is now joyfully reunited with those she missed and loved so dearly.
