Dianne Marie Smith Morrison passed away June 3, 2025.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, James and Evelyn Smith; brother and sister, Larry and Frances Stinson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Gladys Morrison, special pets, Gizmo and Sampson.
Dianne is survived by her husband of 52 years, James R. Morrison; sons, Michael Morrison (Elaine), Vance Morrison, Eric Morrison (Renee), Jeremy Morrison; sister, Patty VanDenburgh; brother, Randy Smith (Dee); 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Barbara Jean Shell and niece-in-law, Bonnie Carpenter.
Dianne loved scrap booking in her she-shed that was built especially for that purpose. She owned and operated Miss Dianne’s Daycare for 30 years. All of her kids called her Sweet Dianne. She loved country music, especially Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You”. James played that song for her every week. She also was a big fan of Conway Twitty and Hank, Jr. She was a big fan of University of Tennessee, and they were ticket holders of the Titans. She was a long-time member of First Southern Methodist Church.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, June 6th at 1PM, at First Southern Methodist Church, located at 4409 Colorado Avenue with Reverend Jack Davis officiating. Burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday from 11AM the service time at 1PM, at First Church.
