Maria "Tita" Avila - age 62, passed away September 9, 2023, in Springfield, TN. We ask that you join us today to celebrate the life of our beloved mother Maria “Tita” Avila. Mom was preceded in death by the love of her life of 45 years Juan A. Alvarez. Today she is survived by her 5 loving children, 3 step children as well as their spouses/ partners Adam Alvarez & Jessica Alvarez, Jerry Alvarez & Autumn M. Meade , Nicky Alvarez & Amber Alvarez, Ashley Alvarez & Harvey Paz, Carmen D. Alvarez, Juan Alvarez, Tony Alvarez (deceased), Brenda Lee Alvarez, 20 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons, 1 great grandson unborn, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and many nieces and nephews. Mom is finally at peace , and resting with her loved ones who preceded her in death. We will join together on this day not to remember the ailments or reasons for her demise. However, we will celebrate her smile, her spontaneity, and her love. We look past the frail state she was in and recall the sassy diva she was. The suffering is over, she has taken her place in heaven and is seated at the right hand of God where she will await for the rest of us. A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Western Hills Church, 7565 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN 37209 on Saturday, September 16, 2023.   2. I loved her like a mom she was always there listening to me when I had my ups and downs. She gave us good thoughts, and how to deal with it. I always love her for that love you mom may you rest in peace and I will always treasure your memories that I had with you , My vieja linda aka Tita Dominga.

  3. I remember when we were little and we’d run around the yard, and maria would yell out the kitchen window for us not to mess with the chickens, and she was a wonderful cook. We loved going over there to be with all of you. Your mom and dad were wonderful people and I know both of them are looking down on us from heaven.
