Born in: Nashville, TN
Resided in: Nashville, TN

Marilyn Ann Musser, 63, of Nashville Tennessee, passed away suddenly on May 30, 2025.

Marilyn, who had an adventurous spirit, grew up in West Nashville. She will be dearly missed by family and many of her lifelong friends there, including Kathy, Marlene, and Michelle. The family wishes to thank them for always being there for her.

After her marriage, Marilyn moved to LaVergne, Tennessee, where she worked for several years at the Whirlpool Company as well as being a mother and homemaker. Later, after moving back to the Nashville area she loved, she was a family babysitter and then a caretaker for several of her disabled friends. She had a kind and caring heart, and loved all her family and friends.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Doris and Fred J. McCrary, and sister Carolyn Biggs Cable.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Samantha McCrary and Marty Musser Jr.; grandchildren, Kayla and Kelsey Dodson; sisters, Linda (Roy) Lane and Shirley (Geoff) Wilford; niece Tammy (Scott) Senter; brothers, Jerry Hines and Fred (Cathy) McCrary, and a large extended family.

Let us remember Marilyn with love and the special memories she left us, and not for the pain and struggles she faced during her lifetime. Our grief is proof that she mattered and will always be remembered. May she rest in God’s eternal peace.

A private family viewing was held June 3, 2025, at Western Hills Church in Nashville with a cremation following. The family is planning a private memorial at a later date.

Arrangements were handled by West Nashville’s only family-owned and operated funeral home: Compassion Funeral and Cremation Services.

Guestbook

  1. I will forever love and miss Marilyn and I hope to see her again in heaven. I know she had started going to church and I feel confident that she is in the arms of Jesus. She left us with a lifetime of memories. I remember her laughter, I always liked to see her happy. I know that she was in pain and now she is free. Fly high Marilyn until we see you again. We love you 💙🙏

  2. Marilyn was my cousin – unfortunately I had not seen her in many years, but we had some fun childhood memories as we were close in age! We had sleepovers and played as little girls do! I remember her being funny and tender hearted! I pray that she is in perfect peace!
