Patricia Mabry Pigg, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend in Nashville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, in Melbourne, Florida, due to a long-term illness.
Born in Blue Ridge, Georgia, to Kenneth Cornelius Mabry and Ruby Lee Mabry, Pat grew up in Ravenna, Kentucky, on the L&N Railroad. In 1964 she relocated to Summertown, Tennessee, where she met Edwin Vecie Pigg, her soulmate and husband of over 50 years.
In 1966, Pat pursued her passion for medicine by attending lab school at Mid State Medical Academy in Nashville. After graduating, she embarked on a remarkable career at Frist-Scoville Medical Group, where she formed deep bonds with her colleagues and became renowned for her exceptional dedication. On September 4th, 1971, she married her high school sweetheart, Edwin, and they have two children, Leann and Trent. Throughout her life, Pat’s passion was serving others. She cherished her church family and was a dedicated volunteer.
Pat’s journey was a tapestry of love and loss. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth
Cornelius Mabry and Ruby Lee (Dunn) Mabry, as well as her brothers, Searcy Kenneth Mabry and
Norman Ray Mabry. Her cherished family includes her beloved husband, Edwin Pigg, their daughter,
Leann Taylor, and her husband, Doug Taylor, who reside in Melbourne, Florida; their son, Trent
Pigg, and wife, Jillain Pigg, who live in Dickson, Tennessee; and their grandchildren, Zachary Taylor, Noah Taylor, Gaven Pigg, Caden Pigg, Jaxen Pigg, and Charleigh Pigg. Pat’s brother, Bobby Ross Mabry, also shares her legacy.
Beyond her immediate family, Pat’s life was enriched by the love and support of many loving
family members, including sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. If you wish to honor Pat’s memory or make a charitable donation, you can visit the Alzheimer’s

A celebration of Pat’s life will be on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 3:00PM, at Western Hills Church, located at 7565 Charlotte Pike.
