Patricia "Patti" Birchfield

patricia birchfield

Patti, aka Momma, Granmomma, Aunt Patti, Aunt Trish, Ms. Patti, came into this world on September 9, 1947, in the hills of Kentucky (the place she always called “HOME”) and left us on June 1, 2025, to be with her Honey, Dannie.  They were married almost 56 years before he passed, and she missed him so much, and we know they are having the best party in Heaven!  We made sure she went out in style with all the glitter.  Patti was always the flashiest, most sparkly person in a room.  You could always see her coming, with all of her PINK, glitter, rhinestones, jewelry.  She never left the house without her hair done, makeup perfect, and all the rings!

She loved her family more than life but there were two other things that ranked very high!  Her love for Christmas was like no other, she started wearing Christmas shirts on Thanksgiving and had one for every day thru the end of December.  Her other love was country music, and her all time favorite was Conway Twitty (she always told Daddy, that was her “hall pass”).   Hello Darlin has been her ringtone on her phone, since she got a phone.

She was the most loving Momma, Granmomma, and Aunt Patti, she was our QUEEN.  She loved BIG and Hard, and welcomed anyone to her house.  Patti is survived by her girls and grandkids, Missey (Darin), Austin (Shayna), Houston, Jett; Pebbles (Larry), Andrew, Bella, Baby, Grace (Travis), Easton, Luke, K-Ray, Alex; Kay (Jimmie), Trip, John (Molly), Madi Faye, Jesse.  She is also survived by 3 siblings Jack, Kenny and Kat and a whole slew of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends that will miss her sparkle so much.  Those kids at Stuart Burns Elementary will sure miss their favorite lunch lady.

Patti’s life will be celebrated just the way she would have wanted it with lots of sparkle, glitter, and flare.  Please join us on June 11, wearing your favorite shade of PINK to send her off in style!

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 11th from 10:30AM until 12:30PM. The celebration of life will follow at 12:30PM. Daryl Demonbreun will officiate the service and the interment will follow at the Middle TN Veterans Cemetery, next to her beloved husband, Dannie.

  1. We are so sorry for the loss of this beauty
We won’t be able to make it as I’m still dealing with health issues and Dr’s appointments…
    Love to all

    Steve Daniel (aka Freddie)

  2. Rest easy. You will always be my “Peppermint Patti.” You made sure my the candy bowl on my desk was sufficiently stocked daily my dear friend and former colleague. For that I’m most grateful. To the family, may you experience an abudance of God’s grace, mercy and peace to sustain you during this time and the days ahead. Be encouraged. God is able. Yes He is!

    Daniel Dillard

  3. To Patti’s family,
She made my day refreshing with her smile, hugs, and positive words!
Her cinnamon candy at Christmas and the excitement she share of her family. The stories of her working in Nashville in her younger years! We have beautiful memories. We go to our hearts to remember her and her love for her people!
    Prayers for what is needed!!!!

  4. To the family of My Patti Lou! I am so heartbroken and sad. When I say we have lost a beautiful and loving woman too soon. She was the best wife, sibling, mother, mother in law, grandmother, auntie and friend to anyone that knew her. Boy did she light up the room with love and laughter. That beautiful smile and loving heart went a long way. I see why pink was her color and bling blinging all the time. No one else could pull it off. I am going to miss her so much. It won’t be a day I won’t think about my Lulla Belle. So Blessed I got to share so many great memories with her. Love to all of you and Thanks for sharing her with me.
