There are few times we saw Crain without a smile on his face, loudly singing, dancing, hugging and loving those he was with. Crain was somebody we never thought we’d have to experience life without. He will be greatly missed but we know he is hugging us from Heaven.

Rodney Crain Hubbard II
March 17, 1995 – Oct 14, 2025
Rodney Crain Hubbard II, 30, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away surrounded by his mom, dad, and sister after a courageous battle with heart failure. During this time, there were many crises but also many miracles of God’s Divine Intervention – the greatest of which was the precious family time we had with Crain. He was a true warrior throughout this journey. He embodied kindness, strength, grace, perseverance, and humor throughout this challenging season.
Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Crain graduated from St. Benedict High School in 2013. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State in 2017. Hail State! Upon graduation, he began a rewarding profession he loved as a sales engineer. Crain enjoyed traveling and spending time at the family cabin at Pickwick – boating, off-roading, gathering around bonfires, and treasured moments with family and friends.
Crain is survived by his parents Linda and Rodney Hubbard, his sister Cody Hubbard, his Godparents Debbie and Ken Wolverton, his grandmother Ruth Pope, his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marjorie and Roy Hubbard and Wilson G. Pope, his aunt Sandra Martin, and cousin Joseph Pope.
A Celebration of Crain’s Life will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 2:00 – 6:00 pm with a program at 4 pm at the Federal Express Event Center at Shelby Farms Park, Ballroom C, 415 Great View Drive East, Memphis TN. Casual attire.
