Roger Dale Whitefield

Roger Dale Whitefield age 74 passed away in the early hours of July 24, 2025, in DeKalb County. Roger was born on February 26, 1951, to his mother and father in Long Island, Alabama. He was a loving father to three kids. Roger was a painter majority of his whole life. He was definitely a jack of all trades if anybody knew Roger, he loved his dog “Doobie” more than anything. He was always a loving person who loved the outdoor his favorite hobbies throughout his life were camping fishing and painting Roger also love going out on his boat and loved going on long motorcycle rides. Roger love to spend time with his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.

Preceded in death by his father; Lorenzo Dale Whitefield; mother; Mary Emma Brock and grandson Michael Dale Whitefield

Survived by his son; Chris Whitefield (Crystal); daughter; Misty Forsythe (Mike); daughter; Jennifer Kroll (Steven); siblings; Jerry Simmons; Lyndia Whitefield; 12 grandkids; 13 great grandkids and lifelong best friend Roger Sartain.

In this tragic moment, we will remember the joyful moments we had as a family and let these memories be the consolation we need in the dark times. Forever will be missed and loved dearly.

Roger’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be no public service held.
