Zain Aamir Syed

August 25, 1990 ~ April 18, 2023
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Zain Syed, who left this world on April 18, 2023. Born on August 25, 1990, Zain lived a life full of love, learning, and laughter. He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Syed; his mother, Denise Buscemi; his father, Ashraf Syed; his sisters, Samarah Syed, Hannah Syed and Raeah Syed; and his brother, Zakariah Syed. Zain was predeceased by his sister, Nylah Syed. Zain had faced health challenges and triumphed with a heart transplant on January 1, 2003. He graduated from Wayne Central in Rochester, NY, in 2009. He then went on to pursue higher education at the State University of New York at Fredonia, where he earned his B.A. in English Language and Literature in 2013. In 2014, Zain relocated to Nashville, TN to join his future wife, Sarah, where he continued to grow and thrive in his personal and professional life. It was in 2022, after ten years together, that he married the love of his life, Sarah Syed. Those who knew Zain best will remember him for his witty, kind, intelligent, loyal, quirky, curious, and candid personality. He felt most content at home with his cats and wife, reading, playing video games and watching movies. He consistently encouraged others to be authentically themselves and to prioritize learning. Zain was especially proud of the lifelong friendships he made and the bonds he fostered throughout his journey. Zain's legacy will be one of curiosity, as manifested in his writing and his unwavering quest for knowledge. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Zain's memory to his brother Zak's ongoing medical costs, as he awaits his second heart transplant. Funds are being raised at https://everloved.com/life-of…. May we all cherish the memories of Zain Syed and carry his lessons and spirit with us as we continue our own journeys.
