Johnny Allan Aitken, 82, of Savannah, Tennessee, passed away in Nashville, Tennessee, on February 3, 2026, after fighting an amazing fight. Surrounded by loved ones, he peacefully chose to go be with Jesus. Johnny was born on March 7, 1943, in Edmonton, Alberta.

Johnny’s hobbies included golf, racing, and working on cars. He enjoyed a challenge, loved learning, and could build or fix almost anything. An electrician by trade, he learned his craft in his early twenties and enjoyed a long and successful career that included roles as a contractor and project manager. He was well respected in his field and worked on many large projects, always able to troubleshoot even the most complex challenges.

People were drawn to Johnny’s kind and gentle nature and quick wit. He was truly a joy to be around and had a gift for making others laugh. He loved spending time with family, and his family loved being around him.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Linda, with whom he shared 56 years of friendship and love. He is also survived by his children: Shawn (Denise), Jennifer (Thomas), Truett (Monica), and Scott (Diana); his grandchildren: Breanna (Billy), Chelsea (Phillip), Alex (Kelsey), Landon, Jake, Addie, and Baxter; and his great-grandchildren, Grayson and Hudson. He was looking forward to welcoming a third great-grandchild on the way. Johnny is also survived by his nieces, Laurie and Tracy, whom he adored, and his sweet dog, Nellie Mae.

Johnny was preceded in death by his loving parents, Jack and Bert, and his beloved sister, Jan.

After moving to Tennessee, Johnny enjoyed living on the river, watching the barges, and caring for his home. He cherished small-town life and was an active member of Wesley Chapel.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00am at Wesley Chapel in Savannah, Tennessee. A private family celebration will be held at a later date at his niece’s estate in Hollister, California.

Johnny will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
