Guestbook

  1. Barbara was one of the most generous and giving people I have ever known. A wonderful neighbor. Her heart was dedicated to helping others. I am blessed and grateful to have called her my friend and I will greatly miss her presence in my life. My prayers are for comfort and faith for her family that God is holding Barbara in his everlasting arms having blessed her with His love and peace that surpasses all understanding according to scripture.

  2. Tara & Brad, I wanted to plant a tree in moms honor in Israel. It is a symbol of her faith and the peace I am praying for each of you. Psalms 147:3

  3. My Aunt Barbara was just like my Grandmother. If you knew Phyllis, you would understand the connection. She was the secret agent behind each of our Christmases; flying her family in each holiday to see us and keep us connected to her children and family from across the miles. She was helping behind the scenes to cook in the kitchen, set the table and do all kinds of things like curling my grandmothers’ hair. The next day she would help my Aunt Carole at her house and clean dishes and do whatever was needed to help make the family gatherings possible. She never said a word, she was in her eyes just being helping hands but she was a pillar to the entire family. Each summer we drove down to Nashville from NY to spend more time in her home and with her family and we enjoyed her lake house. She cooked the entire week and did it silently with a smile. She took each of her siblings for a week as well and served their families. Then she hosted my grandparents for a month after that. Her love was generous and endless for family. She just wanted everyone happy and together. She was happy to serve others. I recall when I went to parochial school for High School, how she hemmed all my skirts and uniforms for me before I started freshman year. She used to babysit for me and my three siblings so that my parents could spend a night away together for their wedding anniversary. And when I became a new mother, she brought an extra suitcase on her trip to New York to give me a breast pump, maternity items and all kinds of care products and a boppy for the baby used by my cousin Tara. I was overwhelmed that she did that to support me as an older women in the family should. She pushed people along. She helped my father as a sibling and helped him rest and recharge down in sunny TN. She recently sent her twin brothers a box of men’s clothing just bless them and be a caring sister. She mothered everyone. She was a nurturer. She would have made a great nurse! She also flew down to extensively help in the senior care of both my grandparents. Recently she shared with me that she prayed the sinners prayer and received Jesus into her heart. I am convinced she is with Jesus. In the arms of her maker. I am at peace with that image. Thank you Jesus for a beautiful Aunt, inside and out. And for her raising my cousins who are two of the most exceptional people I have ever met. I love and will miss you. I pray for peace for Tara and Brad and their families. Psalms 147:3
