Bart Dennis – Age 60, of West Nashville/Bellevue, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022, at Ascension St. Thomas West Hospital. Bart was born on November 16, 1961, to the late Peggy Murphy and William “Bill” Dennis. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Smiley. He is survived by his daughter, Brittany Slate (Diego); his grandson, Liam Alvarado; his loving companion and partner, Sherry Scarbro and her children; best friend from life, Harry Richards, and family; friend, Mark Moore, and his family; and faithful furry companion, Ellie. Bart was the owner of Nashville Gold & Diamond on Charlotte Pike in West Nashville. Everyone who knew Bart, felt that he had a big heart and a giving nature. He was a lover of sports and enjoyed playing golf. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. The family would like to extend a thank you to the Neuro ICU nurses and doctors at Ascension St. Thomas West and special thanks to his nurse Brittney for her extra special kindness and support. A Celebration of Bart’s life will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022, at 1PM, at Western Hills Church (7565 Charlotte Pike) Burial will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mark, G, Mason, Tanner, Travis, John, Scott, and Jeff. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, from 11AM until the service time at 1PM, at all Western Hills Church.   1. Bart and I go Way back as friends. We went to school together and kept in touch through his company. I am so very sorry to hear about this. I actually found out about it online. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of his family and friends. He’ll be surely missed in West Nashville. Rest in Peace, Bart.
