Ben Johns Lee

Ben Johns Lee, age 55, of Smyrna, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 12, 2026. A native of Smyrna, he was born at Rutherford Hospital on June 23, 1970. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Hubert and Mary Law Johns, his paternal grandparents William and Ellen Rose Lee, and his parents Gerald Burgess and Evelyn Johns Lee.

He is survived by his son, Thaddeus Johns Lee, brother Gerald Burgess Lee II, sister-in-law Donna Lee, nephew Geoffrey Lee, extended family and friends. Mr. Lee was owner of Ben Lee Painting and was employed at All-Star Auto Lights, Inc. of Smyrna.

Mr. Lee was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Smyrna. He was a 1988 graduate of Smyrna High School where he was a member of the Smyrna High Football team. He worked for his family business, Lee Line Inc., until its closing. He was an avid fisherman and hunter known to spontaneously go frog gigging in the middle of the night at the drop of a hat.

Memorials in memory of Mr. Lee can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Smyrna.

A celebration of life will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Smyrna on October 24th, 2026. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM with service following at 11:00 AM.
