Betty Carr, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly in her home on February 1st, 2025, at the age of 79. She was a constant source of love, joy, and strength to her family and all who knew her. Betty leaves behind her children, Sherry (Mark) Kaltenborn, Karen (Alan) Riddle, and Brian (Kila) Carr, as well as 21 cherished grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her legacy of love will live on through Miranda, Alexander, Jacqueline, Caroline, Diana, Liam, Randi-Carole, Dustin, Ashley, Austin, Emily, Cole, Cade, Kyleigh, Karter, Hayden, and Willa Mae.

Betty’s life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family and her remarkable resilience. She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Thomason, her loving husband, Carl Carr, her five siblings

Joe Randolph, Roy Randolph, Juanita Dearry, Alice Wilson, and Virginia King, and her dear best friend, Bill Randolph. Despite many obstacles and hardships, Betty faced each challenge with strength, grace, and an ever-present sense of humor.

Known for her quick wit and endless love, Betty was the heart and soul of her family. Whether cooking, baking, gardening, or simply spending time with loved ones, she brought joy and warmth into every moment. She was a fierce advocate for her family and always made sure everyone knew where they stood with her— honest, loving, and fiercely protective.

Betty will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was the rock of the family, and her memory will be cherished forever.

Per Betty’s requests, a Celebration of Life will take place at her home Sunday, February 9, 2025, from 11:00AM-2:00PM for her family and friends. She was very adamant about celebrating her life with good food, happy memories, and fellowship.
