Bobby Region Johnson

Bobby Region Johnson- Age 86, of LaVergne, and formerly of West Nashville, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Johnson; his mother; and his brother, Ellis Johnson.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Sherry Weakley Johnson; his children, Bobby (Courtney) Johnson, Jr., and Amanda (Tony) Landers; stepdaughters, Yolanda Felts, and Ashley Felts; his grandchildren, Josh Johnson, Dylan Johnson, Kaitlyn Johnson, Kelsey Johnson, Colin Johnson, Heather Johnson and Isaac Landers, Austin Hickerson, Payton Allen, and Jayden Holman; and numerous great grandchildren.

Bobby spent many years in the music industry and was formerly known as in the industry with Billy Cosby as “The Sprouts”. He was proud to be inducted in the Hall of Fame Museum in Downtown Nashville. He was a talented singer, songwriter and musician. He was also a part of the Four-Wheel Drive Band. He retired as a truck driver from Beaman Automotive. Bobby was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will deeply missed.

A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 2PM, at Charlotte Heights Church of Christ (6833 Old Charlotte Pike) with Pastor Sheldon Tyree officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Smyrna. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation with the Johnson family will be on Tuesday from 10AM until the service time at 2PM, all at Charlotte Heights Church of Christ.
