Carol Smith

Virginia Carol Smith – Age 77, of West Nashville, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 11:19pm. She is preceded in her father, Alfred O’Brien; mother, Margaret O’Brien; sister, Charlene Counter; and her daughter, Carrie Smith. She is survived by her two children, Michele McKenzie; son, David Smith; her companion and caretaker of 25 years, Ray Heable; grandchildren, Johnny (Amy) McKenzie; Cathy McKenzie, Kayla (James), Bryan; Matthew (Kira) McKenzie; Krysten (Frankie) Turner, Addie Goddard, Damien Jenkins, Cameron Jenkins, Devan Hamilton, Hunter Smith, Zachariah Smith, Isaiah Smith; 15 great grandchildren; father of the children, Jimmy Smith and a host of extended family members. In her earlier years, Carol was a secretary, with the last 15 years working at Walmart on Charlotte Pike. She enjoyed gospel music, and a firm believer in Jesus Christ. A Celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at 12:30PM, at Highland Park Church (5710 Knob Road) with Pastor Dale Robble officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday from 10:30AM until the service time at 12:30PM, all at Highland Park Church.
