Dr. Damon Lerone Talley was born on May 4, 1974, to the union of John Will Talley and Leila Mae Moore Talley. He went to be with the Lord on October 28, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Leila Talley; sister, Angela Talley; nephews, DaShaun Boston Talley and Isaiah Talley Woods.
Damon enjoyed traveling, meeting, helping people, motorcycle riding and cooking. He was a loving man and made a friend wherever he went. He joined New Century United Methodist Church at an early age. Damon also was a member of the New Century Male Chorus, attending Sunday School and serving as a church usher and custodian.
Damon graduated from Harriman High School in 1992 where he was a member of the Harriman Blue Devil’s Basketball team.
Dr. Talley received his Pre-Med associate degree from Roan State Community College. He received his Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia, and was a member of the Kappa Psi Fraternity. He was a licensed Pharmacist in the state of George and Tennessee and worked as a Pharmacist Manager at Walgreens.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children whom he loved very much, son, Justin Alexander Talley (Atlanta, GA) and his daughter, Lauren Brooke Talley (Atlanta, GA); sisters, Johnnie Earl Price (Chicago, IL), Mae Francis Williams (Chicago, IL), Viola T. Woods (Knoxville, TN), Gwen (Terrance) Scudder (Harrington, TN), Elizabeth Ann Talley (Tucker, GA); brothers, Herbert (Deborah) Talley (Loudon, TN), and Tim (Marilyn) Talley (Powell, TN) and beloved aunts, uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended relatives and friends.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Dr. Damon Talley will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 11AM, at New Century United Methodist Church, located at 929 Unaka Street in Harriman, TN. The Rev. Gary L, Atwater will officiate the service.
