Sutton, David Alan
December 13, 1948 – February 16, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the peaceful passing of David Alan Sutton of Dickson, TN on Sunday 02/16/25.

He will be greatly missed by so many including his loving wife of 54 years, Peggy, sons Dave (Angie), Joe, Andy (Jennifer), grandchildren Chelsey (Caleb), Trey (Miranda), Liam, Blake, Drew, Katie, and Jossie, brother Edwin (Patsi) and many more relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by parents Ben and Sadie Sutton. Davids’ love and passion for his family, friends, and the outdoors was second only to his faith and devotion to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. He proudly owned and operated a successful home improvement business (Dasco) for over 30 years. His smile and personality could light up any room and his quick wit brought joy to all that knew him.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held for David at West Meade Fellowship church in Bellevue on Saturday, February 22. Visitation will be from 10AM to noon with a celebration of life service starting at noon.

Arrangements in the care of Compassion Funeral & Cremation Services, 6949 Charlotte Pike, Suite 104 (615) 857-9955. We are proud to be West Nashville & Bellevue’s only locally owned and operated burial & cremation services.

  1. I am so sorry for your loss. I knew you all from church and you were always very welcoming to me whether at church or in DICKSON.

  2. To one of the greatest men I’ve known since I was very very young… An amazing way, an amazing heart, and an amazing father… You will be missed, sir. Love you. David Loftis and condolences from the Loftis family.

  3. So sorry to hear of David’s passing. I was married to Kenneth Fielder, who was a very good friend of David’s. Ken passed away when he was 46 years old. After high school they spent lots of time hunting and fishing together. My prayers are with the family as you say goodbye to husband; father and grandfather. Mary Fielder Allbee

  4. My stepdad Ken Fielder and David were good friends for many years and I spent much of my youth hunting with Ken and David. David had a great sense of humor and I will fondly remember the times I spent with him, Praying for comfort for his family during this time.

  5. Sad to hear of David’s passing. He was a sweet Christian man who had a great sense of humor. I will miss his quick wit on my Facebook posts. RIP David. You will be missed.
