Debbie Buck House, age 82, died at her Nashville home July 13th, 2022. Debbie was born to Lowell Orr and Marjorie Ann Kerr Buck on October 5, 1939, in Shelby, Ohio. In Florida, she graduated from Coral Gables High School, and attended Stetson University and Florida State University. A gracious homemaker, Debbie spent many years in Franklin, Tennessee raising her 3 children. During her years there, she loved gardening and playing tennis. Debbie attended Highland Park Church and was a member of the Vanderbilt Bridge Club. She was a Duplicate (tournament) Bridge Player, playing on a highly competitive level. This is where she met her beloved husband, Everett House. They were married for 13 years and together for 35 years. Debbie adored her family and friends and was known lovingly to her grandchildren as “Gaga”. She was also a huge animal lover. Josh Groban’s rendition of “Ave Maria” was her favorite song, but she always held a special place in her heart for The Bee Gees. Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Lowell O. and Marjorie Buck; a son, Clint Rice, and a sister, Melanie Buck. She is survived by husband, Everett House, Nashville, TN; Daughters, Cynthia McEwen Rice Simonet (Joe), New Albany, Ohio, Marjorie German Rice (Susan Summar), Nashville, TN, step-son, Ken House (Jenny); 8 grandchildren – Aimee Simonet Haywood (Brandon), Caroline Simonet Fredrick (Matt), Patrick Simonet, Emily Simonet, Piers Mason, Ensley Mason, Evie House and Derek House; 2 great grandchildren, Kennedy Haywood, and Colby Haywood. Private services will be held at a later date. Special thanks to the nurses at Kindred Hospice for the care and comfort that they provided Debbie.   1. While I never had the pleasure of meeting Debbie face-to-face, I throughly enjoyed the many stories Marjorie & Susan would share about her. What I know for sure is she gave me the gift of a dear friend that is her daughter, Marjorie. For that, I am eternally grateful. Blessings and comfort to the entire family and dear friends of Debbie.
