Gale Castleberry Amond, 82, of Brentwood TN, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2022. Gale was born on January 17,1940 to the late Louise and Galen Castleberry in Nashville, TN. Gale graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1957 and received her BA from Vanderbilt University, where she was a proud and beloved member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority, in 1961. Gale is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Wayne John Amond; son David Murray (Deb); daughter Beth (Clif) Tant, and three adoring grandchildren - Morgan Amond, Georgia Amond and Clifton Tant. A lifelong Nashvillian, Gale was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, the Women’s Club of Nashville and the All States Club. Affectionately known as “Gigi” by her grandchildren, Gale was an amazing mother and beautiful wife. She always reflected fondly about the years she and Wayne spent overseas, but more importantly relished being with her family in Brentwood for the last 50 years. Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, July 20th - Visitation from 10 to 11:30 with funeral services to follow at 12pm. Gale will be buried at Mt. Gale always treated me like family, the children grew up around the office and I have many fond memories of the entire family being so wonderful to me.
