Gary Lee Sesler 1951-2023 West Nashville/Bellevue On March 10th, 2023, Gary Lee Sesler passed away peacefully at home. Gary was born on April 6th,1951, to Walter (Rip) Sesler and Trula (Martin) Sesler of Nashville, Tennessee. Gary was a quiet but adventurous soul. He grew up in a large family and was a family man. When Gary met his wife, Phyllis, he met his match and found his purpose in life; it also didn’t hurt that she shared a love for cats. They were blissfully married for 27 years. Gary was kind, soft hearted, and stubborn till the end. He had strong morals and was a man of integrity. Gary was compassionate about animals, especially cats. He played football as a kid and even tried his hand at boxing. He was an avid sports fan, always cheering for the Tennessee Titans, the Vanderbilt Commodores, and the Nashville Predators. Gary found his true passion in golf. He loved to play on the weekends with friends or his Sweathog buddies. Gary was a part of the West Nashville Sweathogs for 50 years. Gary was known for his signature everyday look, which was a plain pocketed T-shirt or a golf shirt, he had a lot of yellow ones. His Wrangler blue jeans, and a Titleist golf hat. Gary will be missed far and wide by all who knew and loved him. There is so much more that should be said, but in the end, what he did was make our world brighter. Gary is survived by sisters Nancy (Carl) Becker, Judy (Bill) Storey, Yvonne (Jimmy) Faulk, Linda (Raleigh) Hunt; brother Randall (Chris) Sesler; a multitude of nieces and nephews; stepchildren Mac Gayden Jr. (Jennie), Katherine Krispin (Friedrich), Karrie Shackleford (David); five step grandsons, one step granddaughter, two step great grandsons, and three step great granddaughters.
