Gidget Suszanne Hamilton – Age 59 years, of West Nashville, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at St. Thomas West Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Gidget was born on November 3, 1965. She attended Cohn High School in Nashville and retired from Metro Nashville Public Schools in 2015, after twenty-five years of dedicated service.

Gidget was so proud of her family and loved them dearly. She was a selfless lady her entire life, even up until the very end. She would give you the shirt off her back and expect nothing in return. She was always the life of the party and would light up the room with her infectious smile.

She is preceded in death the love of her life, Paul Maggart; father, Jackie Cornett, and her grandmother, Dillie Agnes Crowell.

Gidget is survived by her son, Brandon (Amanda) Bradford; her mother, Anne Cornett; grandchildren, Mason, Maddox, Mackenzie and Marlee Bradford; siblings, Annette (Ron) Bigham, Jack (Cylina) Cornett, Andrew (Sonalie) Cornett, Daphne ‘Mitsy” (Slate) Martin, and Tana Hamilton Willeby; bonus blessing, Toy Shadowens, Tiffany Jones and Michelle Maggart; and their family; and countless nieces, and nephews and extended family members.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 10:00am – 12:00pm at Western Hills Church, located at 7565 Charlotte Pike with a celebration of life following at 12:00pm with Pastor Dale Robble officiating.
