Glenda Joy Cannady McGrady- Age 81, of West Nashville, joined her husband and family on Thursday, April 27, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Virginia Cannady; her loving husband, George McGrady. Glenda is survived by her two children, Michelle (Mark) Curtis and Doug (Renee) McGrady; grandchildren, Rachel (Jay) Risley, Daniel (Ashley) Curtis; great granddaughter, Summer Curtis; her brother, Phil Cannady; several loving cousins and extended family members. She was a devoted member of Park Avenue Church of Christ that later became Western Hills Church of Christ. She was longtime member of the Fellowship committee and kitchen crew with Park Avenue and Western Hills. One of the joys of Glenda's life was preparing meals and cooking for her dear family. Glenda loved to travel with her family and friends. She and her husband, George, were longtime sponsors of a child at The City of Children in Mexico. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 1PM, at Western Hills Church with Daryl Demonbreun officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers, including Sonny Russell and Tommy Wall. Flowers are being accepted or memorial contributions can be made to The City of Children. (www.cityofchildren.com) Visitation with the family will be on Sunday from 2PM until 6PM, then again on Monday from 10AM until the service at 1PM, all at Western Hills Church.
