  10. It’s So hard to express what I feel about Derrek. He’s been a 2nd brother, a great friend, an athletic inspiration and someone that I know loves me as much as I love him ! Derrek always said that his ‘coaching’ and ‘schooling’ me was the only reason I got a basketball scholarship. I’d never admit it, but he was probably right! He was my great friend! It didn’t matter if we hadn’t seen each other in over a year – we knew our friendship was still as strong as ever! I love you my friend and will miss you more than you’ll ever know !
