James Henry Wilson

James Henry Wilson, 84, of Nashville, passed away on January 17, 2022. Henry graduated from Central High School in 1955 and Vanderbilt University in 1959. He joined the Tennessee Air National Guard in 1959 until 1965. He then worked for First American National Bank until 1969. In 1978 he opened Wilson & Associates and became the leading loan packager for the B&I program of the FmHA. In 1989 he turned his company to risk management which was his focus and passion until his death. He is survived by his wife Gerri Faye Luther, three sons, James Henry Wilson III and wife Susan, Carter Hutchison Wilson and wife Shawna, Kevin Blaine Wilson and wife Samantha, stepson Shawn Michael Homan and wife Samantha, stepdaughter Bonnie McCall and husband Doug, sisters Delores Markham and husband Lee, Mary Alice Pulley and husband Jim, grandchildren Lowry, Austin, Ashley, Zach, Lily, Dani, and Liam Wilson, and great grandchild Layla Wilson. He was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Wilson, Sr., mother, Christine Ferebee Wilson Billings and son, Jonathan Lowry Wilson. A Celebration of Life for close friends and family will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 11am to 3pm. In the words of Henry himself, “Henry Wilson stories will be told, some of which will be embellished to enhance their entertainment value.” Dress is blue jean casual.
