James Maverick "Jim" Thompson

James “Jim” Thompson, 36, departed this life on the 14th of January 2022 at his home in Nashville, TN. Jim is survived by his wife Kate and their two dogs Dolly Parton & Lorrie Morgan. His parents John & Peggy, siblings Pam, Danny, Cindy, & Bob. As well as his nieces and nephews Allison, Reece, Sam, Sara, Audrey, Bryson, Maris, Milam, Greta, and grandnephew Adam. Jim is preceded in death by his sister Paige. To know Jim was to know what it was like to be in the presence of true generosity. He always put the needs of others above his own and would gladly give anyone the shirt off his back. His spirit of generosity, humor, and kindness lives on through the many wonderful memories he created with those lucky enough to know him, and through the eternal love he had for his wife, family, friends, and beloved dogs. He will have two services. The first being a memorial service at Centerville United Methodist Church on the 29th of January at 2pm CST and the second a Celebration of Life at Otto’s in West Nashville on February 12th at 1pm CST.
