Jason Scott Foures
Jason Scott Foures passed into life with Christ on January 16, 2026 in Nashville,TN at the age of 54.
He is survived by his parents, Lynda K. Long and Steven H. Foures and preceded in death by his grandparents Alton and Lucile Long and Mack and Gladys Foures and cousin Russell Johnson.
Jason is also survived by many cousins and very special friends whom he kept in his heart wherever he lived.
He was a graduate of South Plantation HS, Fort Lauderdale, FL, qualified as an Emergency Medical Technician, then earned a BS degree at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL.
Early jobs included store manager at Nashville’s Sunshine Groceries that led to managing Whole Foods in South Beach. Next at Lee Memorial Hospital, he was a tech in the Emergency Room. Later he became a math teacher and coached basketball and volleyball in Southwest FL. His last teaching role was in Lithia before moving back to Nashville.
Jason loved teaching, especially coaching, but his real passion was music.
In his last years in Nashville, he wrote music and worked at Ascension St Thomas West Midtown where he met many new friends.
Jason had a golden, generous heart. After 9/11 he volunteered at the fire department in Pine Island, FL. While in Lithia, he donated many hours on stage at churches in Lithia and Zephyrhills playing his 5-string bass guitar and Moog synth.
He was at the center of our hearts. We will see Jason (Jabo) again in Heaven, do doubt with guitar in hand and a blazing smile.
A celebration of life will take place on April 25, 2026 through Hamlin and Hilbish in Eustis, Florida.
First, a graveside service will be at 12 noon at Lakeside Memorial Gardens at 36601 County Road, Eustis, Florida 32726.

Jason was my brother in life. No better friend will I ever have. I am profoundly saddened by his passing. My wingman and my friend. Nicole and I will keep Jason in our hearts forever.
Our hearts and prayers are with you Lynda. We cannot imagine your sorrow, and we pray the Lord would comfort and be with you during this time. Love the Herrera Family
Jason truly had one of the kindest hearts. He showed up every day with a positive attitude, a big smile, and always ready to share the latest Liverpool update. His kindness, warmth, and genuine care for others made such a difference, and we were so incredibly blessed to have him as part of our team. Our Google meetings don’t feel the same without him, but his spirit, laughter, and light continue to live on in the SPS offices and in all of us who were lucky enough to know him. I’m sending all of my love and prayers to your family during this incredibly difficult time.
It’s never goodbye, only see you later. I miss your Eddie Murphy impersonations, the ’80s hits, and the way you made ordinary days feel… well extraordinary. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, your humor, and your unmistakable spark with the world. May you have found peace wherever you are. Stay gold. <3
