I loved Dr. Edwards, he delivered both my children, I named my son after him, he said please don’t give him the name Joe, so I named him Michael Edward. No matter he was always there for me. One time he did not get the message from his staff that I had a question, when he found out he gave me his home phone number, and said if you need me use this number.
I could go on and on about Dr Edwards, and the funny stories, but the one thing that I still laugh about was he kept on me always about my weight! We’ll I had weight loss surgery and lost a whole person, I was there getting my annual exam, all up in the stirrups and he says “my goodness girl you sure have lost a lot of weight”, I said well thank you, but why couldn’t you have said that before the exam, with his quick witt he said at least I noticed. lol. God has gained a special angel, I never met Mrs Charlotte and the girls but I knew all of you and the grand kids from his stories. Prayers are with y’all
I am so sorry for your lose. Dr. Edwards was the best! He delivered my daughter after a very difficult pregnancy. He was smart, funny and most of all compassionate and supportive. He will always hold a special place in my heart for taking such great care of me and my daughter.
Joe Mike was a special person. He spent his entire life bringing life into the world and providing health care for so many women. He had a great smile and wonderful sense of humor. My wife Margaret and I always loved going to Joe Mike and CA’s Christmas Eve celebration. And I always said Joe Mike made the best pork tenderloin. He will be missed by so many people. His was a life well lived. Peace be with you Joe Mike. You are loved by so many. Rest in Peace.
