John Dale Hamilton- Age 67, of Linden, TN, and formerly of West Nashville, passed away on January 8, 2023, at St. Thomas West Hospital. He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jean Hamilton Tate; in laws, Matthew and Rebecca Simpson; brother, Tracy L. Hamilton. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Hamilton; children, John Derrick (Chay) Hamilton; Kimberly Ann Hamilton; stepchildren, Andy (Chasity) Couch, Brandi (Eric) Zurofsky, Donna (John) Hodges, Summer Haymans; grandchildren, Lucas and Brooke Hamilton; and numerous other step grandchildren; brother Richie (Kathy) Hamilton; father, John Henry Hamilton; sister-in-law, Angela Hamilton and a host of extended family members and friends. John Dale attended Cohn High School, Class of 1973, where he was loved by all who met him. Later in life, he started his career at the Ford Glass Plant in West Nashville where he was employed for over 30 years. After retirement, he began working for SCATS (South Central Area Transit Service) in Perry County, TN. He was an avid Alabama fan! ROLL TIDE ROLL! John Dale loved gardening and especially his tomato plants. He also enjoyed fishing. A Celebration of John Dale’s life will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 11AM, at Western Hills Church (7565 Charlotte Pike) with Robert Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 1PM until 7PM, and again on Friday from 10AM until 11AM, all at Western Hills Church.
