Johnny W. Appleton, Sr. of Pegram, TN passed away on February 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Johnny was born on October 3, 1958, to John Hensley and JoAnn Appleton. He graduated in 1976 from Cheatham County Central High School, at which he began his lifelong career at Ford Glass Plant. He retired after more than 30 years.

Johnny was known for living life in the fast lane. He loved to ride motorcycles, water-ski, he loved boating with his family, crappie fishing, barrel racing, beach trips with his family, skydiving, and most notoriously crashing airplanes.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 25 years Jennifer Appleton; his mother JoAnn Appleton; his brother, Jeff (Suzanne) Appleton; his five children, Wade (Terra) Appleton, Christina Appleton, Rebecca (Chris) Demetres, Brook (Adam) Stephenson, Hunter (Reagan) Stephenson; and grandchildren, Hudson and Joplin, Melanie, Maverick, and Sophia, Farrah and Logan, Hadley and Hendrix, and Sutton Kate, and many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father John H. Appleton.

A visitation service for friends and family will be held at Western Hills Church at 7565 Charlotte Pike on Saturday February 15, 2025, from 1:00PM until 3:00 PM, with Celebration of Life immediately following at 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to Aveanna Hospice.

Most of my favorites were of Horses(Talladega) camping at the farm you playing with the kids especially Ivy Brooke you was always putting the kids first even when they started having kids God broke the mold when he made you and it was/is an honor to be in yalls family we love you and will miss you even more rest easy Johnny and enjoy Heavan
