Joseph "Kokomo" Anthony Vella

Joseph “Kokomo” Anthony Vella died peacefully in Nashville, Tennessee on October 25, 2023, at the age of 79.
Joe is survived by his daughter Lisa Vella-Puff and her husband William Adam Puff, sister Carla Wilson-Vella and husband Donald Wilson, sister Bernadette Vella, and brother Ernest Washington and his wife Cheryle Washington.
He is preceded in death by sisters Lucy Vella, Paula Vella, Denise Vella, Arlene Vella McDevitt and Rose Maria Vella.
Joe was born on November 6,1943, in New Haven, Connecticut to Anthony Vella and Pauline Vella.
Joe had a passion for life. He found the most joy in simplest of things (he loved a trip to the grocery store, getting a haircut) and always lived in the moment. He loved to be around people and was always one to try to make a person laugh or smile. He never met a stranger. He spent over 22 years as a bartender which groomed him to be the man everyone loved to be around.
