Kellye Dianne Appleton

Kellye Dianne Appleton – age 60, passed away June 17, 2023 in Nashville, TN. Kellye was born on August 7, 1962 to Dianne Appleton and her late father Charles “Bunny” Appleton in Nashville, TN. She is survived by her lifetime partner and best friend of 44 years, Mark Philpot; daughter Marlye (Andy) Philpot; son Chaz (Dakota) Philpot; mother Dianne Appleton; sister Kim (Dennis) Astren; and her niece Taylor (Ben) Astren and nephew Josh (Becky) Astren. Kellye was one of a kind! She was a second mom to all who knew her. She recently gained the title “La-La” which she took very seriously. Her grandchildren Andrew and Tanner were the light of her life and held a very special place in her heart. Her fur babies Sam and Gypsy were also two of her favorite companions. You could always count on her to feed them a 5-star dinner. She had a servant's heart. You never needed anything if Kellye was around. From sweet tea to breakfast biscuits, a pile-up to crash on; she always had a way of knowing exactly what was needed. She was beautiful inside and out. You could always count on her to show up fully accessorized. She loved dressing up for a date-night or just a simple night in around the house. We cannot end this without acknowledging the unconditional love she had for Mark and her kids. She lived a real life love story with Mark up until the very end. 3. She was always there for me with a smile and some compassion for me matter what she always told me to keep on pushing. I really loved this woman like she was a real neighbor to me with so much self respect and just she loved everybody she knew and she was a momma bear she protected all her kids 10 toes down, and her dogs. Her and mark would fight all day but go to sleep together and that’s that true love is. I love you momma kellye forever and always. With Love Hunter Burgess
