With hearts full of love and memories, we celebrate Raven Alexandra Misch, who entered this life on January 24th, 1987, and passed away at the young age of 37, on June 25th, 2024, after a brave battle with Lupus. Though she has physically left us, the spirit of love, beauty, fun, and the example of a responsible woman she brought into our lives remain ever-present. Raven is now reunited with her beloved husband, James Thomas Misch, II, with whom she shared an extraordinary journey of love and adventure. James “Jay” preceded his wife, Raven in death nearly two years prior on August 22, 2022.
As the youngest of her siblings and an adorable child, Raven was a light, a beacon of happiness, and a lovingly loyal baby sister. She was a true cheerleader in life and her middle and high school years as a Monmouth Falcon. A New Jersey native, Raven cherished her freedom and took great pride in the life she built in Tennessee, her home. Raven’s dedication and hard work as Deputy Register at Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County were a testament to her resilience and commitment. She was known for her warm heart, authentic communication, and the selfless love she extended to everyone in her circle.
Raven’s passion for creativity was evident in her support for her husband’s music career and led her to make a couple of appearances in the crowd of the show, Nashville. She loved concert hopping with Jay on his motorcycle, by car, or via his BBQ truck. These two foodies were all for travel, hiking, exploring, finding fun, and celebrating good times and good music with good people. Raven also found joy in roller skating. With the wind on her face, she kept a sense of freedom and the thrill of life alive.
Deeply connected to spirit, Raven drew comfort and guidance from her spirituality, finding peace and reassurance in God. Her spirit was one of adventure, resilience, and unwavering love.
We celebrate Raven’s strength and perseverance, and the vibrant, beautiful life that she lived. Her legacy of love, adventure, and faith will continue to inspire us all.
As Raven embarks on a new journey, reunited with her beloved husband and best friend Jay, in the eternal embrace of the Divine she is lovingly remembered by her family; parents, Kenneth and Jean, her sisters Aurora, René, Michele, and Nova, her brother Jamar, her father-in-law Jim, and two brothers-in-law Jonathan and Jordan, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
May she rest in peace, soaring free as she explores the boundless realms of the afterlife, in which, she believed.
Raven will be laid to rest at Larkspur Conservatory in the near future. The date and time will be announced.

So many good memories of our RaeRae will last forever in our hearts. We feel her presence and know she is still with us. My sweet niece is now at peace…
She was amazing. Just wish she lived closer so I could have had a chance to know her better in her adult life.
Rest In Peace dear niece.
Love, AuntMiya
To my cousins and aunts and uncles, may we all reunite our love for each other and become closer as a family as we all are get older and time is getting shorter. May we all stay in better contact with each other so we dont have to say our last words over the internet instead of to our smiling faces. Raven was great for being her own person and getting out to see what life had to offer her. And jay was her perfect match as he took great care and pride in her.Praying for all the family to be comforted in our time of loss and blessed by our memories of each other. Love mikes.
We’re all just a phone call away.
I also never got to know Raven as an adult —but the memories I have are sweet, when she was the quiet child. She is so young to be gone from us. Life moves so fast and as a traveling free spirited person I feel Raven and I are similar in that sense.
My condolences to Aunt Jean and all my cousins, Aunts and Uncles. Love & miss you all Keith
