Ronald Wayne Nickens “Wino”- Age 69 years of age, of Ashland City, TN, passed away March 08, 2024, at the Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN.
Ronnie was born May 02, 1955, in Nashville, TN, to the late Mildred Newman and Cecil Nickens.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Nickens and Robert Nickens; stepfather, William (Boots) Newman. Those left here with his memory are his wife, Betty Charlene Nickens; daughter, Tracy LeeAnn Nickens; grandchildren, Jacob, Maryellen, (Austin), Destiney, Ethan, Emma; great-grandchildren, Xander, Ty, Addyson, Daylen; and brothers, Pete (Elaine) Nickens and Stevie (Tina) Nickens; sister, Rosie “Mush” Newman; and a ton of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, along with all of his other family and great friends.

Visitation with the Nickens family will be on Tuesday, March 12th from 2PM until 8PM, then again on Wednesday from 10AM until 12PM. The funeral will follow Wednesday at 12PM, all at Western Hills Church, located at 7565 Charlotte Pike with Brother David Estes officiating. Interment will follow at Cowden Family Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family has encouraged you to bring your bike for the procession to the cemetery.

We will remember. Wino from back in the day .For when him Ray brown and Dooley run together in and out of all the old hang outs ,They was odd trio but. I think they loved each other as brothers most of the time lol RIP Brother Walter Harrell.
