Rosie L. Ward- Age 83, of West Nashville, passed from this life on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at St. Thomas West Hospital, after an extended illness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Hattie Mae Nickens; and her siblings.

She is survived by children, Rosie (Richard Buchli) Shamsaie, William Newman, Jr. “Big Bubba”, Gilbert (Loretta Waynick) Newman, and Angela (Jimmy Mason) Renz; her grandchildren, Sarah, Ryan, Phillip, Hope, Megan, Jacob, Ashley, Melissa, Dylan, Samantha, and Sylas; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Rosie loved the going fishing and the casinos. She loved taking road trips in the car; she also enjoyed classic cars and a good game of Bingo.

Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, May 16th, from 3PM until 7PM. The funeral will follow at 7PM, all at Western Hills Church, located at 7565 Charlotte Pike. Brother Tony Langton will officiate the service. The burial will take place the next morning, on May 17th, at 10AM, at Cowden Family Cemetery.
