Shannon Noah Thompson, Sr. – Age 54, passed away at his home on February 10, 2025 in Dickson, TN.

Preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lena Thompson; his brothers, Henry Cook, Eugene Cook, Robert Cook, Billy Cook; sisters, Mary Cook, Lena Cook, Nancy Thompson; and faithful canine, Sam (Samantha).

Survived by his loving wife of 1 1/2 years, Lisa Thompson; sons, Casey Thompson, Steven Thompson, Shannon Thompson Jr., step-sons, Kenny Severs, Logan Tidwell, Travis Tidwell; daughters, Shannon Thompson, Kayla, Aaryana; grandchildren, Ayden Wilson, Daylen Wilson, Caleb Thompson, Chloe Thompson, Averi Thompson, Leo Toense, Avery Thompson, Amelia Thompson;  step grandson, Colton Severs, and canine companions, Hazel and Biscuit.

Noah was a hardworking man. He spent 30 plus years working in maintenance, making it all the way up to a maintenance supervisor. He was also a jack of all trades, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix once he got his hands on. Not only was he hardworking, but he was also a true outdoors man! He spent many a time camping, canoeing, as well as hiking. Along with spending time outdoors, he also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:30 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2025, at Power & Praise Church, 614 Luther Road, Dickson, TN 37055 with Bro. Danny Duke officiating. Pallbearers include: Casey Thompson, Steven Thompson, Shannon Thompson, Jr., Ayden Wilson, Daylen Wilson, and Mitch Wright.

Burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Power & Praise Church.

  8. I thank God for his wife, Lisa Tidwell, and for Kenny and Travis, whose love for Jesus helped Noah. And I’m praying for all his children and his family. I’m sure this loss is in incredibly difficult. It was that love that drove him straight back into the arms of Jesus I was able to be his pastor for about three years. I watched God radically, deliver and transform him in a moment. I was so excited the day they told me that they were getting married. It made me smile every Sunday I got to see Noah show up in church often times he would come dressed in a suit and I knew in my heart. He wanted to look his absolute best for Jesus. …. I don’t believe it was his time to go. He went far too soon, but I have great peace, and knowing that his life was turned around and he was fully dedicated to the kingdom of God I have no doubt I will see him again very soon with his big smile, his generous heart, and we will celebrate in front of our Savior-
    If you’re reading this post for me, I think I’ve been around Noah enough to know some thing that would matter to him now is that his family and friends and those that love him would be able to see him again in heaven the greatest gift that you can give Noah is giving your heart to the Lord so you can see him again soon. We loved him so much & will see him soon.

  9. From a 14 year old boy to a 31 year old man, Noah Thompson was a man i always admired and looked at as a father figure. He always reminded me of my own potential and encouraged me to get out of my own way. 90% of what I know about turning a wrench I learned from noah and everything i aspire to be as a provider and loving father comes from the blueprint he left behind. If i had to describe him to a stranger i would say Noah was like oak.. hard as a rock , strong and enduring.. He was one of kind and I will miss him dearly. To all his children i love you guys like my own family and I know he was extremly proud of you all. Rest easy Noah “It’s time to wrap it up”

  11. Noah was the first friend I had coming to Tennessee in 1996. He was kind and helpful in helping me settle here. He provided a home for rent and was an awesome co-worker. You will be missed my friend.

  12. Noah was a great man and an amazing dad! He leaves behind a legacy in his kids. From the age of about 8 to 32 I spent countless days and nights at his house growing up. He loved everyone of his kids, grandbabies and family with all his heart. He was a very hard working man who was tuff as nails. He got to watch each one of his children grow into amazing people as adults. I know without a doubt each and everyone of y’all have made him proud. He will be missed beyond words and may he rest in peace knowing the legacy he left behind in his family and the amount of peoples lives he touched. Too all of his family I love each one of you and y’all are my family. Your in my prayers during this difficult time. Y’all will see him again and until then he will be watching down smiling at the people y’all have become!

  14. Noah was a great man with a kinder soul and spirit. He loved his family so much and especially his children and my mom. I thank the Lord for the years we knew him and had with him. We feel so lost right now but will trust the Lord with getting us through all this. I am grateful for the love he showed us and the love he gave my mother and how much he cared for everyone. I will miss him so much and was proud to call him my stepfather. He was a true blessing without a complaint in the world about anything. We love you Noah.

  17. Such sad news. Noah was one of the kindest, most hardworking, and loyal people that I’ve ever gotten the pleasure to know and work with…always willing to help. And that grin… I never knew if he was up to something or if it was just the goodness in him shining through. Maybe a little of both. He was a good man.

  29. There are no words for how I feel right now! Noah was one of the very best people I have ever known! I will never forget all the memories the camping trips, kayaking, sitting by the fire in the backyard, and so much more! He was a great dad to all his children and loved them so very much no matter what they could always count on him for anything and if he didn’t know he would figure it out! He was a strong, smart, hard working man who I admired so very much! My heart is broken not only for the loss of this wonderful man but also for his family! I love all of y’all very much and I’m am so very deeply sorry for your loss I’m praying for each of you everyday! Noah you will be missed so very much and you will never be forgotten!!!

  30. I have no words. Noah was an amazing man. He helped usher me into manufacturing and was knowledgeable about almost everything. Always helpful and willing to lend a hand on anything with a great sense of humor. He will be sorely missed. Prayers for the family. 🙏🏽

  32. I worked with Noah a really good guy. Couldn’t ask for a better maintenance person. He would work as long as it took to get things going. I was his supervisor and he was the one I could count on. I worked with him at Porcelain. I don’t know where he was working now but I know they will fell the loss. He kept Porcelain running on his knowledge of the equipment. Time to rest Noah.

  33. I have know Noah since he was 18 years old. We didn’t always get along in the beginning. (but who does with thier mother n law)LOL. He grew up to be a wonderful man. He gave me 4 beautiful loving grandchildren. I know he was loved by many and he will be missed by many more. With all my love, Lois
