Stephen Louis Young
September 27, 1943 ~ December 31, 2022
Stephen Louis Young, age 79 of Parsons, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2022. Mr. Young was a godly man, he served in the US army from 1968-1970, his MOS was as a sharpshooter. He worked most of his life on the Tennessee River as a heavy equipment operator, welder and dredge hand at Tinkers and Teague sand and gravel. He is preceded in death by his parents, William L. Young and Ericca Mae Duncan, and his sisters Faye Britt and Wilma McCormic. He is survived by; Daughter Michelle (Daryl); Son Bryan (April); Grandchildren Chrissy (Seth), Brandon (Jami), Emily (Gavin), Jessica C. (Jesse), Brooke (Luis), Anna, and Jessica L. (Jessica G.); Great Grandchildren Levi, Gunner, Lyla, Archer, Danica, Tate and Harper. The family will celebrate Mr. Youngs’ life at a small military graveside service, with immediate family only. Bible quote: John 3:16 “For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son, that whomsoever shall believeth in him s hall not perish but have ever lasting life.”

One of my fondest memories of my dad was every weekend or it seems like every weekend the whole family loaded up to go to Camden to the national guard armory, a band played there and we would go “two stepping” my dad and step mom taught us how to 2 step and we would dance away.. I loved going and now I have this memories to look back on..
