Tena Lightsey (Croft)

tena lightsey (croft)
Tena Lightsey (Croft) was born in Jacksonville, Florida on May 19, 1966. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at 55 years old on April 26, 2022, where she resided in Sparta, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and John Mckorkle as well as her granddaughter Mary Daniels. Although she has left us too soon, she is in a world of peace now. Heaven has gained another beautiful angel. She is survived by her children, Sheena Daniels (Rufus Baylor), Stacey Waites (James Waites) and Peyton Lightsey, her grandchildren, Kayla, Joseph, Connor, Lil Rufus, Haylee, Summer, Elaina, Amelia, Aliyah, and Aden, her sister, Brenda Croft, her nephews, Eric Martin and Shane Raulerson, as well as her great nieces and nephews, and so many more loved ones. Tena was a beautiful woman, inside and out. Always lending a helping hand. She was an amazing mother and even better grandmother. We could always count on her no matter what. Her grandkids know her as her Gamma (she said she was too young to be called Grandma). Her sister was her best friend. She had many friends and loved ones. She was kind, caring, smart, beautiful, feisty, funny and so much more. Her favorite color was green and Snoopy was her favorite cartoon character. She loved to go to the beach, looking for different shells and shark’s teeth. She has given us all so many great memories and we will cherish them forever in our hearts. She will be missed dearly until the day we shall meet again. May she fly high with the angels! As we each mourn the loss of Tena, we remember the wonderful days and moments that we were able to share with her. Whether you knew her for a short time or a long time, you saw how special of a person she was and how she positively impacted so many lives, just with her presence. We would like to invite you to join us at the celebration of life for Tena. A gathering to remember the happy times and fond memories we can all share.
