Thomas D. “Tommy” Neely- Age 74, of West Nashville, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at his residence.

He is survived by Linda Hassell Neely, his wife of 53 years; sons, Tommy (Angela) and Tim (Heather) Neely; 3 grandchildren, Evan and Kylee Neely and Sarah Keels; sister, Connie (Tony) McMahon and brother, Donnie (Susie) Neely. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Ruby Neely; and brother, Ronnie Neely; in laws, Ed and Mary Hassell.

Tommy enjoyed drag racing, Nascar and football and raced for many years at Music City Raceway. Tommy will be missed by all who knew him and his cat, “Patches”.

Visitation with the Neely family will be on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, from 4PM until 7PM and on Wednesday from 10AM until 11AM. The funeral service will begin Wednesday at 11AM, all at Western Hills Church (7565 Charlotte Pike). Tony McMahon and Aaron Holt will officiate the service. The burial will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. The active pallbearers will be Tommy Neely, Evan Neely, Tim Neely, Patrick Decherd, Brian Allen and Donnie Ward. The honorary pallbearers will be Friend’s at Neely’s Garage and Music City Raceway.
