Velma C. Castleman- Age 87, of West Nashville, passed from this life on Friday, January 17, 2025, at her residence after a brief illness.

She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia A. (Preston) Johnson; Kimberly D. (Mickey) Presley; brothers, Jerry (Tammy) Cochran, Joey Cochran; granddaughter, Brandi Dabbs; grandsons, Cory (Stefanie) Johnson, Trevin (Bionca) Presley, Devin B. Presley; great granddaughters, Stella, Blu Rawlins Presley, Mackenzy Eden; great grandsons, Neyland Presley, Maddox Presley, Callen Johnson; special niece, Brandy Cochran (Eddie) Holcomb; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her son, Gary L. Dabbs; father, Floyd Cochran; mother, Mary J. McCord Wiggins; brothers, James D. Cochran, Ryandal E. Cochran, and William Cochran.

The family of Velma Castleman would like to thank Dr. Gregg Shepard and the TN Oncology Group; Dr. Jonathan Schneider with the Frist Clinic GI Department, and Dr. Edward Dinkins and his wonderful staff for the care that was provided for Mrs. Velma.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 11AM until 1PM. The funeral service will follow at 1PM, both at Western Hills Church, located at 7565 Charlotte Pike with Brother Terry Forrest officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Cory Johnson, Trevin Presley, Blade Presley, Larry Daniels, Bill Shukis, and Dalton Patterson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to Alive Hospice.
