We are gathered here today to remember and honor the life of Bill Winder, aka Captain Bill. Bill was born on July 8th, 1947, in Riverside, Ca and grew up to be an exceptionally kind, loving, and compassionate Spouse. He always put others before himself and went out of his way to make people feel loved and valued. Bill was the best husband, father and grandfather ever. He was an Expert sailor, even navigating through hurricanes off the Bermuda triangle. At 50 years old, he decided to get his Master Captain’s license, learning the laws of every waterway across the globe. Captain Bill was a proud, Navy veteran during the Vietnam war and always had a love for the ocean.

Everyone who knew Bill knew he was an excellent cook – often inviting themselves to dinner at Bill and Michelle’s home. Michelle claims he’s never made the same thing twice in their 44 years together.

During his 40 years as a real estate broker, he became a brilliant investor- he LOVES, passive investments most- especially real estate notes and oil Wells! Thank you, Desi, Justin and Garland.

Bill was an all-around, funny guy- although he claimed to be “Michelle’s arm candy” Michelle often had to remind him In some circles, “it may be funny, but it’s not appropriate!”

As you all know, Bill had a quick wit and was always the life of the party. Yet, Jesus was his anchor, and his deep faith was his compass. He led people to Jesus without saying a word… Today, we say goodbye to Bill Winder, aka Captain Bill, but his legacy will live on through the memories we share and the impact he had on ALL our lives. He would be so honored that you came.

    • I didn’t know Bill but I felt that I did after listening to Michelle speak of him so often. Michelle said he was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family tremendously. He will be missed by his family and friends but they have comfort in knowing he is with his Jesus. Sending hugs and prayers to Michelle and family❤️

    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27‬:‭19‬ ‭NIV‬‬. His heart to serve, to make marriages better. To help manage investments to make sure you would be able to leave a legacy to your family. To advise you so you would be generous to others. Michelle, Billy and Bree, you all have so much to be grateful for. His example of a Godly Dad, Husband and Grandfather was beautiful. I’m so sorry you are having to walk this journey, but we know he is now healed, restored and with his Jesus💕💕💕. You will see him again

  13. I did not have the honor of meeting Bill face to face, but I felt as if I knew him through his beautiful wife, Michelle. I know he is with Jesus and honestly, I am a little jealous. My prayers are for Michelle and her family as they navigate life here without Bill. May the peace that passes understanding be upon your family.   15. My thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of you. I did not have the honor of meeting Bill who was a sweet Christian man. I feel like I know him through Michelle. His family and friends will miss him terribly. It will be for a short time. Bill is dancing with Jesus now. A sweet reunion is ahead when they all meet again.   16. Your life meant so much to so many, especially to Michelle and your family, to friends, and to the communities you served. Its significance and impact will never fade. Your love, kindness, and presence touched the hearts of many who knew you personally, and even touched those that did not (like me). Those memories will forever be cherished. Though you may no longer be with here physically, your spirit remains, and your legacy will always continue to inspire and guide those who knew and loved you. Rest in peace.

  18. The greatest comfort we have when we lose someone closest to us is the knowledge from God’s Word that death does not have the final say— Jesus does! May the promise of the Resurrection bring you peace, comfort, and hope, even in the midst of your sorrow. I’m also praying that God wraps His arms around you as you navigate missing Bill….

  27. Thoughts and prayers to Michelle and all the family. As a member of Michelle’s Facebook post, I feel I knew Bill through her, and I had the pleasure of speaking with him when he helped me Rollover my IRA. He was such a kind person. I know he is now with Jesus, but he will be missed.

I never got to meet him, but I felt like I knew him when you spoke of him, Michelle. This is a terrible loss for all, so I remember you in my daily prayers for the Lord’s peace and comfort to envelope each one of you.   29. Dearest SweeT Michelle, though you do not know me, I feel like I know you well, just from listening & watching your Lives! Although, it’s Almost always AFTER your Live when I get to watch. So many times I’ve said to my husband, “I have to watch my Girl now”! (Referring to you) I think about you often & pray for you when I do. My heart goes out to you & your family. I pray that God will continue to mend your broken heart. The strength He has given you is AMAZING & BEAUTIFUL! You are such a reflection of His love.   33. Michelle, I too am very sorry for your loss. Though we’ve never met, I feel I know you. I watch you all the time, and enjoyed seeing Bill on there with you, from time to time. As we know Bill is in a better place, but that doesn’t stop the pain. The pain , hurt will always be there, but as time goes by, it gets easier to bear. Prayers Michelle for you, Bree, Billy and your grandsons. Praying to lift all of you up, as you go through this time, pray for a time of healing. Prayers for all.

    I didn’t known Bill personally but I have been following you for a few years now and you spoke about him so much that we know him through your kind words about all the time!   38. I first met Bill when I attended Michelle’s retreat in Cali and he was so friendly. I was glad to meet him and Michelle in person. Bill was very smart and wise in finances and just like Michelle had a love for Jesus! I saw how they both lit up when they were together! They’re both an inspiration to me! It’s still hard to believe God took him home but I know it was all in Gods plan and Bill is celebrating with Jesus now!
