Eddie Beard- Age 67, of West Nashville, passed away on Sunday, at his residence, after an extended illness.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dock and Madeline F. Beard; his aunt, Virginia Roberson.

Eddie is survived by his partner of 45 years, Cindy Cheeves; his children, Jason (Marie) Beard; Brittany (Joey Murphy) Beard and Cory (Layne) Beard; his grandchildren, Haylee Beard, Alaura Beard, Jacob Chumbley, and Ella Grace Murphy; 1 great granddaughter, Emmarie Beard; his sister, Sue Beard; a host of extended family members and friends.

Eddie worked at West Nashville Auto Recycling for over 30 years. He was known as the “counter man”. He enjoyed good ole rock and roll music and had a passion for taking care of the flowers in his yard.

Per Eddie’s wishes, there will be no formal public service held.

  2. Am so sorry to hear this we dealed with him and a few others at the junk yard and at Macs. for many years he was a good guy and would help you and way he could. We grew up around Cindy K and her brothers bless all the family he will be missed by many Walter/ Ray Brown god Bless.

  4. Condolences to Cindy and family. Eddie was a good man, none better. We enjoyed hunting and softball when he worked at Macs. Proud he made me one of the “Bubbas”. He’ll be missed.

  6. Cindy, I am so sorry to hear about Eddie. I guess I have known Eddie since he was about 18 years old. Working for my dad at the alternator shop and then at the salvage yard. We worked together many years. I have fond memories of the time there with him, Roy, Jerry Lee and Donald Wayne. I have a video of Eddie operating the crusher. So many memories.
