Patricia “Pat” Elaine Cooper born September 19, 1943 in Murfreesboro, TN passed away on Sunday March 3, 2024 in Colorado Springs, CO at the age of 80.

Pat graduated high school in Germany where her step-father was based in the military. She went on to attend MTSU where she obtained Bachelor and master’s in psychology and education.

Pat married Ronald W. Cooper June 7, 1964. With Ron being in the military that meant Pat started her teaching career in Guam teaching English as a second language to middle schoolers. When they returned back home to TN Pat went on to teach high school students at Hillwood High School. Pat also held positions at St. Thomas Hospital, HCA, and United Methodist Publishing House. Before retiring Pat opened her own teaching supply business called Curriculum Connections as her true passion was always education.

Pat loved her family and friends and poured unwavering love and support into all of her relationships, especially into her only child Graham. Pat made a huge impact on the lives that she touched and will always be remembered for her generosity.

Pat is survived by her only child William Graham Cooper, her daughter-in law Stephanie Cooper, her three beautiful grandchildren Cassandra, Alexander, and Charlie Cooper, and her step-sister Marti Layden, and her nieces and nephew Christina, Stephanie, and Steve. At the time of Pat’s passing her loving husband Ronald W. Cooper was living in Nashville, TN, and passed May 26, 2024.

Pat and Ron Cooper’s Celebration of Lifes will be held at St David’s Episcopal Church, 6501 Pennywell Dr. Nashville, TN 37205 on July 2nd at 2pm. The family welcomes all who would like to celebrate Pat’s life and share their stories in remembrance of her.
